Interactive retail solution communicating with demonstration items via serial commands

If customers have built their units into „retail mode“ or have manufactured some units for retail demonstration, we need to design our demonstration solution to communicate with their units using the natural and true quality and performance of the retail units.

Assuming a multiroom speaker situation, customers have made retail version speakers with a serial port in the form of a 3.5mm connector for interacting with our retail interactive demonstrators. We then redesigned our media player app and event triggering commands to match the customers‘ retail version items. No project is too small or too complicated, as we have modularized our system right from the start and can react quickly to the needs of the customer.

For the animation above, note that the speaker has a built-in media player with a preset playlist, while in the 1 #, 2 #, 3 # button mode, it plays its own music and the user activates the natural buttons on the demonstration speakers, the Demonstration video plays on screen, not mixed, video and audio here are completely isolated from different systems.
